دليل شامل لمستويات إتقان اللغة الإنجليزية (CEFR)
الإطار الأوروبي المرجعي المشترك للغات (CEFR) هو المعيار الأكثر استخدامًا في العالم لوصف قدرات اللغة الإنجليزية. يقسم المستويات إلى ست درجات من A1 إلى C2، تصف ما يستطيع المتعلم فعله فعلًا في الحياة والدراسة والعمل.
لماذا CEFR؟

المستويات الستة
A1 — المبتدئ
يفهم ويستخدم عبارات مألوفة يومية بسيطة لتلبية احتياجات ملموسة. يقدم نفسه ويطرح أسئلة شخصية بسيطة.
A2 — ما قبل المتوسط
يتواصل في المهام البسيطة والروتينية ويصف بلغة بسيطة جوانب من خلفيته ومحيطه المباشر.
B1 — المتوسط المستقل
يتعامل مع معظم المواقف أثناء السفر، ويصف تجاربه وخططه ويبرر آراءه بإيجاز.
B2 — فوق المتوسط
يفهم النصوص المعقدة، ويتفاعل بطلاقة نسبية مع الناطقين الأصليين، ويكتب نصوصًا واضحة ومفصلة.
C1 — المتقدم
يعبر بمرونة وفعالية في السياقات الأكاديمية والمهنية، ويستخدم اللغة لأغراض متعددة بدقة.
C2 — الإتقان
يفهم كل ما يسمعه أو يقرأه تقريبًا، ويعبر بعفوية ودقة عن الفروق الدقيقة في المواقف المعقدة.

A Comprehensive Guide to English Proficiency Levels (CEFR)
The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is the world's most widely used scale for describing English ability. It organizes proficiency into six levels — A1 through C2 — that describe what a learner can actually do in daily life, study, and work.
Why CEFR matters
Universities, employers, and international tests like IELTS, TOEFL, and Duolingo all map their results to CEFR because it is test-neutral and measures real ability, not just a score. Knowing your true level helps you pick the right content and save months of wasted effort.
The six levels
A1 — Beginner
Understands and uses familiar everyday expressions for concrete needs. Can introduce themselves and ask simple personal questions.
A2 — Elementary
Handles simple, routine tasks and describes background, immediate environment, and urgent needs in basic terms.
B1 — Intermediate
Handles most travel situations, describes experiences and plans, and briefly justifies opinions.
B2 — Upper Intermediate
Understands complex texts, interacts fluently with native speakers, and writes clear detailed text on many topics.
C1 — Advanced
Expresses ideas fluently and precisely in academic and professional settings, using language flexibly for various purposes.
C2 — Proficient
Understands virtually everything read or heard, and expresses themselves spontaneously and precisely on complex topics.
How CEFR maps to careers and study
- A2–B1: everyday travel, service jobs, basic correspondence.
- B2: most undergraduate study, professional meetings, and standardized-test benchmarks (IELTS ~5.5–6.5).
- C1: graduate study, technical writing, complex negotiation (IELTS ~7.0–8.0).
- C2: near-native mastery for translation, literature, and specialist work.
